The Butterfly Pavilion on Al Noor Island is located in Khalid Lagoon Bay.
The island is connected to the main promenade in the emirate of Sharjah by a pedestrian bridge. The Butterfly Pavilion will enchant with its inspirational design. It is an architectural gem of world significance. Get to know more than 500 butterflies in a truly unique ecosystem.

The unique attraction in the emirate of Sharjah gives its visitors the opportunity to learn more about the life of butterflies in its various forms. The pavilion is designed to simulate the warm and humid environment of Malaysian rainforests. Butterflies are imported still in cocoons and hatch directly in the Emirates. The internal ecosystem is complemented by tropical plants and fountains with sweet juices on which the hatched butterflies feed. Throughout the day, expert assistants are available in the pavilion who will be happy to tell you interesting facts from the colorful realm of rare winged creatures.

The Butterfly Pavilion with an area of 230m² was designed by the German studio 3deluxe, which is also involved in the overall appearance of Al Noor Island. The project developer Shurooq aimed to create visually attractive environments and a kind of oasis of peace in the middle of the busy center of the emirate of Sharjah. The glass and steel pavilion is covered with patterned golden fabric to create the necessary shade. The main goal of the "biosphere" is to evoke emotion and interest in the local ecosystem.
