This northern region of the UAE is separated from Oman by the Strait of Hormuz. Magnificent, rocky mountains drop from an altitude of 6500m steeply into the sea, creating countless magical coves.
Early morning departure from hotel. Crossing the border into Oman and boarding a typical Arabic dhow sailing ship at the port of the town of Khasaba. You will sail to the magical Musandam fjords. During the journey you will see Omani Bedouin villages and also freely living dolphins. The ship will anchor at Thlegraph Island. Here you can enjoy swimming and snorkeling, where you will see beautifully colored corals and tropical fish. Snorkeling equipment and life jackets for non-swimmers can be borrowed free of charge on the ship, as well as towels. You will enjoy an excellent lunch on the ship here. After lunch you have the opportunity to swim again.
